![]() Semana Santa, Spain´s Holy Week, is a celebration grounded deeply in the Catholic faith and includes devotees to the religious quality of the processions and beautifully crafted figures of the Virgin and Christ upon the cross, as well as those who appreciate the sheer beauty and art of the processions. Regardless of your religious views, this is a celebration that is worth seeing if you happen to be in Spain during Easter. I personally ruskommend that you try to see the processions in Sevilla or Málaga, although the processions in each part of Spain are slightly different.

Our wedding, honeymoon, and why we are spending August in the capital of Catalonia![]() Hello everyone! As most of you know, on July 21st Pedro and I got married in Málaga. We spent the week before the wedding visiting with my family who came over from the States to celebrate with us, and we had a blast. There were definitely difficulties in cross cultural communication/translation and our gesturing skills were stretched to the max, and there was so much love and happiness surrounding the occasion, that we couldn´t help but have a wonderful time. It was a gorgeous ceremony and reception and we want to thank all of you who followed our adventures virtually with the hashtag #boqueboda as well as those of you who were able to attend. Rusko, of course, made an appearance decked out in his “Golden Boquerón†suit.

![]() Today we celebrate the first anniversary of our project! A year together telling all of you about our travel experiences in a friendly style, in our humble attempt to express exactly what we felt. Without a doubt, being able to share our project and receive so much support from our Ruskofans has made the project that much more gratifying.

El Boquerón Viajero continues to grow every day, which is really exciting, of course! For that very reason, it´s become necessary to divide up the tasks. Until now, Pedro has been the only Community Manager for our social networks. But now, in the month of February, you can find Abigail as the new Community Manager for the English portion of our posts. Now our communication will be more fluid and “native†for our English speaking Ruskofans.

A few days ago Rusko and El Boquerón Viajero had the opportunity to meet the great singer Salvi Pariente from the group Cosa Mala. That day we enjoyed listening to some of his songs from his latest album “Sin Ruta†which he presented recently in Málaga. Rusko especially liked this group because apart from their music, they are from Málaga and working hard to break into the music world. Salvi loved Rusko and our project, and he graciously gave us two signed CDs in order to raffle them off among our Ruskofans. Over the course of today we will let you know more about how to participate, but for now we wanted you to get to know the group a little better.
