On May 15th, Madrid celebrates its Patron Saint: Isidro. There are religious processions, musical celebrations, fireworks, cocido (Spanish stew) tasting, and other cultural events. We took a walk on the morning of May 15th to see what was going on near the typical place to celebrate: Las Visillas de Madrid (close to La Latina). Here are a few of our favorite shots.

As we walked around Mons, at the end of April, there were so many buildings and scenes that just begged to be photographed. We tried to capture a little bit of the feeling of Mons, which is going to be the Cultural Capital of Europe for the year 2015. This historic city in Wallonia was, at the time we visited, still rather immune to the effects of tourism (at least outside the Grand Place). Enjoy!

Namur is a University town that is bursting with history and stories to be uncovered. A walk down its cobblestone streets will give you the feeling that you are straddling the past and the present as students meet to share a beer and a good conversation near the centuries old churches and gorgeous buildings. There is a distinct feeling that you are welcome to visit, wander, and stay for a while in this Belgian town. My personal advice? Don´t miss out on the macaroons for a late afternoon treat!
