Esta semana estaremos en New York City visitando a nuestros amigos, familia y lugares favoritos. Echamos de menos especialmente la comida de Estados Unidos (bagels, dim sum in Chinatown, los diners…). También deseamos visitar algunos museos y espacios de arte mientras estamos en la ciudad (El New Museum en el Bowry, PS1 (un anexo del MoMA), y posiblemente el Studio Museum en Harlem. Y, por supuesto, ir de tiendas y un montón de cafeterías ¡donde pedirnos el latte en sus tazas para llevar!

This week we will be in New York City visiting friends, family and favorite places. We are especially looking forward to the foods we´ve missed from the USA (bagels, dim sum in Chinatown, diners...). We also hope to check out some museums and art spaces while we are in the City (The New Museum in the Bowry, PS1 (a MoMA annex), and possibly the Studio Museum in Harlem. And, of course, there is shopping to be done...and lots of cafés to get our lattes in their little take away cups!

Un día, definitivamente, lo pasaremos en Brooklyn mirando alguna de las Funky Shops en la Quinta Avenida y ¡saboreando un Gorilla Coffee! Pero sobre todo estamos deseando llevaros a algunos lugares que podrías pasar por alto en tu primer viaje a la ciudad. Esto no quiere decir que no deberías ir al MoMA, al Met, al estadio de los Yankees o a Herald Square, si no que si vuelves alguna vez, quizá sea el momento de aventurarte a los lugares fuera de la senda e incluso descubrir el encanto de los distritos exteriores. Vamos a quedarnos en el apartamento de una amiga en Jackson Heights, Queens, pero estate atento a las mini actualizaciones que iremos haciendo durante la semana, y más tarde durante el mes escribiremos muchos artículos detallando las aventuras de Rusko. Por tanto, ¡hay mucho que estamos deseando hacer!

One day will definitely be spent in Brooklyn looking at some of the funky shops on 5th Ave and sipping some Gorilla Coffee! But overall, we are hoping to bring you some places that you might have overlooked on your first trip to the city. This is not to say that you shouldn´t visit MoMA, the Met, Yankee Stadium, or Herald Square...rather, that if you are returning for a second visit, that maybe its time to venture off the beaten path and maybe even find some of the charm of the outter boroughs! We´ll be based out of a friend´s apartment in Jackson Heights, Queens...but you can look forward to mini-updates all week long, and later this month lots of articles detailing Rusko´s adventures. So much to look forward to!!!
